Patriarch Daniel of Romania has extended his blessing to all students taking national exams in Romania.
“Exams are good opportunities for evaluation and intellectual maturation in a competitive society, but also necessary steps to cultivate spiritual and cultural values that increase the capacity for dialogue and communication between people,” the Patriarch of Romania encouraged students on Tuesday.
126,000 high school graduates entered this year’s national exams, with over 15,000 from previous promotions.

Beloved young people,
Throughout its history, the Church has supported schooling, culture, and the spiritual formation of people.
Exams are good opportunities for evaluation and intellectual ripening in a competitive society, but also necessary steps to cultivate spiritual and cultural values that increase the capacity for dialogue and communication between people.
In this examination period, full of natural emotion and intense intellectual concentration, we urge parents, teachers, and parish priests to support you each in their sphere of action and communication, by combining good advice with prayer and concrete personal help.
We entreat the Lord Jesus Christ, the Teacher, and Light of the world, to grant you peace of mind, much courage, success, and joy!
With fatherly love and blessing,
† Daniel
Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church
