The Patriarchate of Georgia released a statement regarding the second wave of the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
In connection with the second wave of the pandemic, with blessing of Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia of Georgia, the Patriarchate addressed church officials, priests and believers.
“It is necessary that the believers observe social distancing rule and wear medical face masks when being in a church, while those who do not feel well or belong to a risk group, refrain from attending church services. If special need, a priest may visit them at home,” reads the statement as reported by 1tv.ge.
