Addressing climate change, taking humanitarian and peacekeeping actions, ensuring access to food for all, protecting children and most vulnerable social groups will be at the heart of the Scientific Meeting called “Partnerships in Action: Towards One Earth, One Family, One Future”.
The meeting will be held in Constantinople, in the context of the ongoing academic dialogue between Christianity and Islam, on August 28 and 29, 2023.
This meeting, which is part of a series of such important meetings that provide the opportunity for fruitful dialogue on major social issues, is organized with the support of the Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities, and is under the auspices of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
Representatives of the Patriarchates and Orthodox Autocephalous Churches, Muslim religious leaders, representatives of international organizations for the promotion of interreligious dialogue, peace and protection of children, as well as academics from various countries will participate in the meeting.
The Ecumenical Patriarch will address the participants, who will welcome them in the Phanar.
In view of the upcoming meeting, Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon visited the Mufti of Constantinople, Dr. Safi Arpaguş, University Professor, on Thursday, August 24, 2023. He invited him on behalf of the Ecumenical Patriarch to participate in the meeting and to deliver a speech.
