Over three hundred theologians, scholars, professionals, lay leaders, students, and clergy are expected to gather in Volos, Greece, for the second international conference organized by the International Orthodox Theological Association – IOTA in January 2023.
The conference theme is “Mission and the Orthodox Church”, and it begins on January 11, 2023, with an optional morning outing, an evening Opening Ceremony, and a keynote address by Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea.
Three working days of paper sessions will follow, along with opportunities for church services and socializing: January 12-14.
January 15 is reserved for Divine Liturgy and an optional pilgrimage to the Meteora monasteries.
Founded in 2017, the International Orthodox Theological Association is a community of scholars and professionals dedicated to the worldwide exchange of knowledge within the context of the Orthodox Tradition.
