According to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during the Nagorno-Karabakh war last autumn, 3705 Armenians were killed and another 268 are missing.
Pashinyan, who is the leader of the ruling party and a candidate for prime minister in the elections to be held in Armenia on Sunday, gave these data during a pre-election debate on the state television of Armenia.
According to him, at least 60 Armenians remain prisoners in Azerbaijan, while according to information from other sources, the number of prisoners reaches 110. During negotiations between the two sides, 89 prisoners have returned to Armenia.
Fifteen detainees were returned to Armenia on June 12 through the mediation of the United States and Georgia, while Armenia handed over to Azerbaijan maps of minefields in the Agdam region, which Azerbaijan recaptured in autumn.
