On Wednesday, 15 November 2023, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Xanthi and Peritheorion visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, accompanied by the Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis, Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne, Father Sophronios Goutzinis, and Mr. Dimitrios Grammatikas, Guide and clerk of the Holy Metropolis.
Metropolitan Panteleimon and his entourage were warmly received by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in a cordial atmosphere and enjoyed the traditional Patriarchal hospitality. They also were taken to Holy Patriarchal Church of Saint George to venerate and later visited the Holy Pantokratoros Monastery and the Holy Church of Saint Theodosia which flourished until the Fall of the City of Constantinople as monumental Churches of the Queen of Cities.
In the evening of the same day, His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Xanthi returned to his Metropolis.
