On the morning of Sunday, November 26, the feast day of St. Stylianos, the patron saint and healer of children, Metropolitan John of Zambia presided over the Divine Liturgy, performed the artoklasia and spoke to the congregation about the moving icon of St. Stylianos with a baby in his arms.
The Metropolitan referred to Saint Stylianos Paphlagonas of Asia Minor as the protector of infants and children, a doctor of hugs and childbearing who helped childless couples to have children.
A meal was offered at the forecourt of the Church of St. Basil in the Mission.It
should be noted that Sunday, November 26, was the seven-year anniversary of the election of the Metropolitan of Mozambique – Zambia and Malawi.
The priests cut a cake thanking the Metropolitan for his vigilant care, the abundant paternal love, the spiritual support, and blessing.
