The Sanctification service for the beginning of the new Academic Year was perfomed yesterday, September 4, 2023, in the conference room of the Medical School.
Metropolitan John of Zambia performed the sanctification service for the third consecutive year and conveyed the heartfelt wishes of the Primate of the Church of Greece, Archbishop Ieronymos II, for the new academic year.

In his address, the President, Professor N. Arkadopoulos, stressed the commitment of the School to continue to train excellent doctors but also to support society as it did during the pandemic and as it does daily with the important work of the University Clinics and Laboratories.
The Medical School will remain for the Greek society a beacon of scientific knowledge, ethos and hope, stressed Mr. Arkadopoulos.
The new Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor G. Siasos, after wishing all the best, referred to the great work carried out at the Medical School during the past two years. He also expressed confidence that the School will continue to getting better and better under the new administration.
