The visit of Metropolitan of New Zealand Myron to the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea, to participate in the first annual Memorial Service of the late Metropolitan Soterios, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, was a source of joy and a special blessing.
The following day, Sunday of All Saints, Metropolitan Myron officiated the Divine Liturgy with the Metropolitan of Korea at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Seoul. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, in the short address they exchanged, both made a special mention of the Name Day of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
After the Divine Liturgy, the distinguished visitor participated in the Common Meal of Love, during which he shared his thoughts with the faithful and catechumens on the topic of Holiness, on the occasion of the feast of All the Saints.
Metropolitan Myron later participated in the gathering of the “SYNDESMOS” members, where he spoke to the young people about the missionary activity of the Holy Metropolis of New Zealand in the Pacific Islands, with special reference to the late Father Barnabas from the island of Fiji. At the end of his lecture, replying to a related question, he emphatically stressed the debt that the young Orthodox have in Korea, for further spreading the Orthodox witness among their compatriots.
