Metropolitan Emmanuel of France visited the Greek Orthodox Community in the Principality of Monaco, at the invitation of the Greek Community of Monaco.
During the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Most Holy Theotokos, to which a large number of Slav-speaking Orthodox faithful go, the Metropolitan celebrated the Great Blessing of the Waters, according to the Julian calendar.
After the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan blessed the New Year’s vasilopita for the Greek Community of Monaco and praised the contribution of its President Sophia Vahari.
During the luncheon, the official guest of the Community, Mayor of Hydra Georgios Koukoudakis, presented the president and the Metropolitan of France with a commemorative plaquette of the Municipality of Hydra.
Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Michael Seliniotakis, and the president of the Community thanked Metropolitan for his visit.
