Metropolitan Stefanos of Tallinn and all of Estonia sent his own Christmas message of hope and love for the difficult period of Christmas 2020.
In particular, he recalled, in his message, that “God loves all people”, as it is written in the hymns we chant on the day of the Nativity of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He also said that few people accept or perceive the great joy of this great event that was announced to take place on earth. “True God still dwells among us, even if He is somewhere else,” he added.
In addition, he called on the faithful to do what St. John the Evangelist said in his Gospel: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” (John. 1:14) He also referred to the magical gift of the Nativity: “From the moment the Shepherds and the Magi saw the star, from the moment they received the message, from the moment they believed, they contributed to the greatest event in the spiritual history of the world.” “May this event take place within each of us,” he added.
Finally, he wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year 2021.
