Repentance, change of mindset, and love were pointed out by the Metropolitan of Corfu as solution to many of the problems that trouble us. “We need a change of mindset. We need to be servants of God. With our reason and our lives we need to subvert the spirit of blasphemy and blame against us. And let’s be patient with sadness and evil without being distressed.”
Speaking at a congregation attended by families of young people, yesterday, Metropolitan Nektarios referred to the apostolic reading of the day, through which we receive messages about our own lives.
“Paul points out that change is accompanied by the responsibility not to blame faith because of the life of Christians. We need consistency of words and works. This is unfortunately happening today,” and he added “To be Christian means to love our fellow human beings. To be Christian means to deny injustice and evil.
