Last week, Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia met with Cristian Leon Țurcanu, Romania’s Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova.
Ambassador praised the efforts made by the Metropolis of Bessarabia in the spheres of philanthropy and culture.
Metropolitan Petru thanked Ambassador Țurcanu for the assistance provided by the Romanian government through its embassy in Chisinau to the Metropolis of Bessarabia and all parishes implementing social initiatives.
In addition, Metropolitan Petru thanked the Romanian government for increasing the number of clerical posts and non-clerical positions in the Metropolis of Bessarabia.
The Metropolitan remembered with gratitude the Romanian government’s assistance to the Republic of Moldova at this moment of significant economic and social hardships.
