Metropolitan Petru congratulated Patriarch Daniel of Romania on his 73rd birthday, expressing gratitude for his paternal care and love for the faithful in Bessarabia.
“We thank you from the depths of our hearts for the boundless love and paternal care you continuously show towards the clergy and faithful in Bessarabia, whom you have taught that our nation, faith, and Church are treasures to be defended at all costs,” said Metropolitan Petru on behalf of the clergy and faithful.
“Through your prayers, advice, and support, we always feel strengthened in faith, hope, and unity, assured that we are shepherded with perfect wisdom.”
“The words of Saint Paul the Apostle, Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love (1 Corinthians 16:13-14), faithfully reflect the care and boundless love you have for all the children of the ancestral Church entrusted to your shepherding,” the metropolitan added.
Additionally, Metropolitan Petru prayed to God to grant His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel “many blessed years, full of health, spiritual growth, and divine wisdom, to continue the holy work and apostolic mission you fulfill with such steadfast dedication and self-sacrifice.”
“May the love and prayers of Your Beatitude be our support in the work of perfection and guide us on the path to salvation,” concluded Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia.
Patriarch Daniel celebrated his 73rd birthday on Monday, July 22, with prayer and a short festive moment attended by numerous representatives of state institutions.
