“Let us recognise every man next to us, the hungry, the stranger, the prisoner, the sick, the little brother of Christ. Let us also recognise the beauty of the world around us, visible and hidden. Let this Christmas be a chance for true worship,” said Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece, in his Christmas message, which was read today in all the temples of Athens.
In the morning, Archbishop Ieroynmos performed the Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, which was concelebrated by Bishops Kyrillos of Abydos and Filotheos of Oreoi.
The Archbishop’s Christmas message was read by Protosyncellus of the Archdiocese, Archimandrite Varnavas Theocharis.
