The Preparatory Committee for the Joint Academic Dialogue between the Orthodox Church and Judaism met this morning in Paris. The meeting took place at the office of the Metropolis of France.
On the Orthodox part, Metropolitan Emmanuel of France, Bishop Maximos of Melitene and Gary Vachicouras, while, on the Jewish part, Rabbi Daniel F. Polish, Rabbi Noam E. Marans and Rabbi David Fox Sandmel participated in the meeting.
The Committee dealt with proceedings of previous meetings and prepared the following next steps. It was decided that the next meeting would take place in Athens next December. The details and practical issues will be finalized in the coming months.
