Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem sent a letter thanking Archbishop Anastasios of Albania for the support he offered in connection with the hostilities that broke out in the Middle East.
Patriarch Theophilos said that the Archbishop of Albania “worked more than anyone else “for the preparation and convening of the Great Synod of Orthodoxy in Crete, defending with fraternal dialogue with the other Orthodox Churches the privileges of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Synodality of the Orthodox Church”.
He added that “even now he is persistently and anxiously making tireless efforts with the cooperation of other Orthodox Churches for the healing of the divided unity of the Orthodox Church in Christ”.
