Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will be in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Mount Athos from November 20 to 29.
Given the visit, the Standing Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, which met under the Presidency of Archbishop Ieoronymos of Athens and All Greece for the last two days, determined the honorary events in honor of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the completion of thirty years since his ascension to the Patriarchal Throne, which will take place in Athens.
The Ecumenical Patriarch will dedicate the first half of his visit to Greece to the Greek capital, i.e., until November 24. His second stop will be the co-capital Thessaloniki, while his visit to Mount Athos will follow.
It is reminded that on Sunday, November 21, the feast of the Entry of the Theotokos into the Temple, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will preside over the Divine Liturgy, along with Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, in the Cathedral of Athens.
