The “Holy Cross” and “St Ephraim the New” Monastery in Mono (Ontario), Canada, will receive a Holy Vestment of St Paraskeva of Iași for the saint’s feast, which is held from Friday, October 14, through Saturday, October 15.
The feast is set in the Orthodox Calendar on Friday, October 14, but it is celebrated at the weekend to allow as many Romanian pilgrims as possible to participate.
The liturgical program starts at midnight, on the night between Friday and Saturday, with the service of the Paraklesis to Most Venerable Mother Paraskeva of Iași.
The next day, Matins starts at 07:00 (local time) and continues with the Divine Liturgy starting at 09:00.
At 11:00, the fathers of the monastery officiate the Sacrament of the Holy Unction, which will be followed by the Thanksgiving meal, at 12:30.
The feast continues on the second part of the day, from 15:00, with the conference “Romanian Hesychasm”, held online by Metropolitan Serafim of Germany, Central, and Northern Europe.
The day concludes with the Akathist Hymn to our Most Venerable Mother Paraskeva of Iași, officiated from 17:00.
