In the context of his pilgrimage visit to Greece, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Alma-Ata, Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, visited Metropolitan Damaskinos of Didymoteicho, Orestiada and Soufli at the headquarters of the Metropolis, on Monday, September 2.
The Russian Hierarch was accompanied by clergymen from his eparchy. The Metropolitan showed his guests around the Cathedral of Panagia Eleftherotria in Didymoteicho.
The two hierarchs had the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest and to exchange gifts.
