Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are currently visiting the military facilities at the Souda Naval Base.
The Greek prime minister and the US State Secretary are shown around and informed by the commanders of the US and Greek bases and immediately afterwards they will go to the naval base in Marathi at the pier K14.
Then they will be shown around a Greek frigate docked at the base and immediately afterwards a meeting between the delegations of the two sides will take place in the 115th Battle Wing, followed by statements to the press.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his wife Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotakis had welcomed US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife Susan Pompeo at the PM’s family residence in Chania, NW Crete, government sources said.
