Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said he had “an interesting and productive conversation” with US Senator Bob Menendez, in a post on social media on Thursday.
In the same post on Twitter, the prime minister added that he “congratulated him on his new role as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and look forward to pursuing common goals of peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and the wider region.”

In a post on Twitter, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs congratulated Robert Menendez, “a distinguished Senator & a long-standing friend of Greece,” on his appointment as chair of Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
The ministry stressed that it looked forward to a close cooperation on promoting peace & security in the region.
