Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon attended the annual meeting of representatives of religions from all over the world organized by the well-known organization “Sant ‘Egidio” yesterday, representing Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
This annual meeting, which was attended and addressed by French President Emmanuel Macron, is aimed at appealing to the world’s leaders for the cessation of war and for peace to prevail.
Yesterday’s closing ceremony took place at the Colosseum in the presence of Pope Francis, who along with the Metropolitan of Chalcedon co-chaired the call for peace.
