Another demonstration against Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew took place in central Kyiv last Friday, where unknown protesters hung banners and burned an effigy of the Ecumenical Patriarch.
This is the third event in a row, where dozens of people are protesting against the Ecumenical Patriarchate holding identical banners with offensive content.
The protests did not spread and received attention mainly from the pro-Russian media in Ukraine.
The representative of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine, which has escalated the attacks on the Ecumenical Patriarchate after the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine by the Church of Cyprus, officially denies any connection to these demonstrations.
