The one-day conference “Education for All in the 21st Century” has successfully concluded, which took place at the Library of Archbishop Ieronymos II in Oinofyta, Boeotia.
Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece was present, while many distinguished members of the educational community of Boeotia, Evia, and Eastern Attica, as well as business group executives attended the conference. The European University – Cyprus was the Scientific Committee of the conference, represented by Professor Dr. Kostas Gouliamos, Rector of the European University – Cyprus.
The conference aimed at presenting the latest trends and developments in the field of education, while providing practical guidance on topical issues that concern the world of education.
In his speech, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece referred to the necessity of lifelong learning and education, pointing out that this conference is a milestone and compass for further deepening and cooperation with the European University – Cyprus, the Library and the Federation of Industries of Central Greece for the benefit of the local community”.
The conference was coordinated by Archim. Theologos Alexandrakis, who is Deputy Director of the Pastoral Training Institute of the Archdiocese of Athens.
Following the speeches of Professor Marios Vryonidis (Dean of the School of Humanities, Social and Education Sciences) and Eleni Theodorou (Chairperson of the Department of Education Sciences), there was a constructive discussion on major issues arising from the current intercultural educational environment.
