Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew travelled to Artaki (Erdek) to officiate the Divine Liturgy for the fifth time in the ruins of the historic Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni in Cyzicus.
The Divine Liturgy will be performed on August 23, the feast day of the monastery, the Feast of Dormition.
The miraculous holy icon of Panagia Faneromeni is kept in St. George’s Cathedral, Constantinople.
The Ecumenical Patriarch is accompanied by Bishops Kyrillos of Erythres, Ambrosios of Evdokia, Grand Ecclesiarch Benjamin, Hieromonk Eleftherios Aloukos, Patriarchal Deacons Iakovos Krochak and Aetios Nikiforos, Monk Iezekiil Xenofontinos, and the Didaskalos Tou Genous Dr Konstantinos Delikonstantis.
