The Ecumenical Patriarch presided over the funeral service for the late Dimitri Atanasov, Archon Grand Protekdikos of the Great Church of Christ, which took place on the Sunday of Thomas, May 9, 2021, by the Bulgarian Cemetery Church of Saint Dimitrios in Feriköy.
After the funeral, the Ecumenical Patriarch extended his condolences of the Mother Church and his support to his widow Dorothea Atanasov and the other relatives of the late Archon, as well as to the entire Bulgarian community of Constantinople.
Ecumenical Patriarch received wishes for the celebration of Easter
On Bright Thursday, May 6, 2021, the Ecumenical Patriarch received successively Patriarch of the Armenians in Turkey Sahak Maşalyan, Ramzi Garmou, the Archbishop of Diarbekir (Amida) and head of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Turkey, along with Presbyter Remzi Diril, who sent their wishes to the Ecumenical Patriarch and the flock of the Mother Chruch on Easter.
For the same purpose, the Ecumenical Patriarch received the Chief Rabbi of the Jews of Turkey, Ishak Haleva, on May 7, 2021.
