Today, on Friday, May 10, 2024, Protopresbyter Fr. Kyprianos Kountouris, Director of the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus, led a twelve-member group on a visit to the Theological School of Halki.
In honor of the feast of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Life-Giving Spring, Fr. Kyprianos presided over the Orthros of the Resurrection and the Divine Liturgy in the School’s church. Following the service, the pilgrims were warmly welcomed at the Great Synodikon of the School by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos. Bishop Kassianos spoke about the rich history of the Theological School of Halki, highlighting the ongoing cooperation between the two institutions over the past year. He also mentioned his recent visit to Nicosia for a conference organized by the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus.
After the welcoming ceremony, the visitors were given a guided tour of the School, including the chapel of the Holy Trinity, the classrooms, the historic Library, and other important premises.
