Along with the blessings of Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa, the historical association of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women in Alexandria cut its New Year’s vasilopita on January 9, 2022.
This event was honored by the presence of The General Consul of Greece in Alexandria, Athanasios Kotsionis, General Secretary of the Greek Community of Alexandria Dimitris Kavouras, former President of EKA and Communal Commissioner Ioannis Papadopoulos, as well as Bishop Germanos of Tamiathus attended the event.
The cutting of the vasilopita took place in the Monastery of Saint Savvas the Sanctified, with Patriarch Theodore congratulating the President of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women Aliki Antoniou and the board of directors, expressing the deep gratitude of the Alexandrian church for their service to the community.
