With the blessing of Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, Bishop Athenagoras of Nazaianzos presided over Contrition Vespers on Sunday evening, April 7, 2024.
The service was held at the Saint Demetrios Church in Merrick, NY. Protopresbyter Elias Villis, Chancellor of the Archdiocese District, and Protopresbyter Nikiforos Fakinos, Proistamenos of the Saint Demetrios Church together with surrounding clergy were in attendance for a poignant and spiritually enriching service.
The host Parish enhanced the collective experience and deepened the impact of this meaningful gathering, contributing to the atmosphere of unity and devotion that defines the Archdiocese District community.
