Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, having been informed with deep sorrow of the unexpected death of the three members of the Armed Forces, who died in the line of duty while participating in the mission of Greek humanitarian aid to the state of Libya, which is canonically an ecclesiastical province of the Patriarchal Throne of Alexandria, and of their two interpreters, who are the children of the President of the Greek Community of Benghazi, expressed his paternal condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic accident and to the Greek Armed Forces, while he extended his heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
