The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent a message of optimism and unity from Constantinople, speaking to SKAI.gr.
The Ecumenical Patriarch was at the Holy Trinity Church in Taksim Square, which belongs to the community of Stavrodromio, together with young children of the Greek community: “I am very happy and excited to see that the Greek community has a future, despite what is being said and spread from time to time. We are always optimistic in this city for this and we endure and continue with every action, thought, and word and we give this message of endurance, optimism, and hope for the future. Merry Christmas everybody!
Then the Ecumenical Patriarch heard the carols from children of the Greek community and gave them gifts.
