Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and his counterpart Zoran Zaev from Skopje exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of the Easter celebration.
In his message to Zoran Zaev, Borisov expressed the conviction that the two of them, with even greater power, will achieve love and humility, as Easter gifts, “for the common European future of the two brotherly nations.”
For his part, Zaev congratulated the people of Bulgaria while talking about the strong commitment and sincere love in the relations between the two countries.
Zoran Zaev also said: “This Easter demonstrates a gesture of reconciliation with a bishop of the” Orthodox Church of Macedonia” who accompanies the delegation of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church to and from Jerusalem on a Bulgarian government aircraft to bring the ‘Holy Fire’ in a sacred ceremony to Orthodox Christians.”
It should be mentioned that for the first time in 2019 on the aircraft that carried the Delegation of the Bulgarian Church to Jerusalem to receive the Holy Fire, an Archpriest of the so-called “Macedonian Church” also participated.
