On Thursday, 16 November 2023, with the Blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Bartholomew attended the Interfaith Parliamentary Breakfast at Parliament House in Canberra.
The event was organised by the Australian Catholic University where Federal Parliamentarians, Foreign Diplomats and Leaders of various faiths gathered together.
A special guest this year was the Honourable Chris Bowen MP, Minister of Climate Change and Energy.
A special honour was afforded this year to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, where Bishop Bartholomew was asked to offer a prayer.
At the end of proceedings, Bishop Bartholomew conveyed the love and blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia to many of the distinguished leaders.
