With the Blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis visited Canberra yesterday and attended an ecumenical tree planting event organized by the Roman Catholic Church marking the end of the Season of Creation.
Bishop Bartholomew was accompanied by Very Reverend Petros Kipouros, the Parish Priest of St Nicholas in Canberra, and was welcomed by Christopher Prowse, the Roman Catholic Archbishop.
Bishop Bartholomew thanked the Roman Catholic Archbishop for his kind invitation and conveyed to the Archbishop the love and respect of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
In turn, the Roman Catholic Archbishop thanked Bishop Bartholomew for his presence and asked that he also convey his love to Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
