Bishop Maximos of Melitene traveled to Grenoble in order to cut the New Year’s vasilopita for the Greek Community of Grenoble and presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Georgios, where the Georgian Community and many faithful coming from Russia and countries of Eastern Europe celebrated the feast of Theophany according to the Julian calendar.
The new Chief of the Church, Protopresbyter Georgios Vasilakis, and the President of the Community thanked the Bishop of Melitene for his visit and wished him a Happy New Year.
Bishop Maximos of Melitene conveyed the wishes of Metropolitan Emmanuel of France and wished the new Chief of the Temple, who succeeded the late Father Gerasimos Skartsis, much success.
