Bishop Antonie of Bălți met with the World Vision Ukraine Response director for Romania and the Republic of Moldova, Eka Zhvania, on November 22.
The meeting at the headquarters of the Diocese of Bălți was also attended by Fr. Constantin Naclad from St Nicholas Metropolitan Chapel in Iasi, the manager of the “Ukraine Crisis Response” project.
The bishop provided an update to the two representatives regarding the assistance rendered by the Diocese of Bălți in overseeing the influx of Ukrainian refugees. Additionally, he detailed the actions taken by the diocese in the initial days following the outbreak of the conflict.
Additionally, Bishop Antonie emphasized the ongoing humanitarian initiatives.
At the meeting, Liliana Lungu, the manager of the “Anastasis” Educational Centre of the Diocese of Bălți, spoke about the role and the impact the institution continues to have on refugees.
The meeting ended with a visit to the “Anastasis” Educational Centre.
