Prime Minister Scott Morrison had a cordial telephone conversation with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
According to Morrison, during the conversation, the two leaders exchanged views on the challenges of the pandemic and especially the Delta variant as well as the vaccination program of the two countries.
They also discussed the expansion of trade relations between the two countries and especially the new opportunities created in Australia-EU relations in the context of the negotiations for the new free trade agreement that is currently being discussed.
The two leaders also discussed climate change and cooperation between the two countries in international organizations.
Finally, Scott Morrison invited the Greek Prime Minister to visit Australia, when of course conditions allow.
