The Assembly of Bishops of the Holy Metropolis of Muntenia and Dobrudja met on Friday, October 25, at the Patriarchal Residence in Bucharest to complete several liturgical texts and akathists to Romanian Saints.
The hierarchs drafted the services and akathist hymn to the Holy Martyrs Gordian, Macrobius, Elias, Zotikos, Lucian and Valerian, celebrated on September 13.
The service and akathist to Sts Cyril, Kindeas and Tasius of Axiopolis (April 26) were also completed and will be submitted to the liturgical committee of the Holy Synod for final approval.
During the meeting, the bishops made amendments to the akathist hymn to Saints Nicander and Marcian at Dorostolum, commemorated on June 8.
The meeting was chaired by Patriarch Daniel who also bears the title of Metropolitan of Muntenia and Dobrudja.
