Archimandrite Ieronymos spoke in detail about his experience, the fact that he had fallen ill due to the coronavirus, on the show “Enimerosi Tora” (Information Now) and sent his own message to those who do not believe in the existence of the virus.
“I tested positive on the 13th of December 2020,” he said, “I stayed home from that day until the 18th of the same month. In the morning, my oxygen started to drop and I was worried. So, I called my GP, who immediately contacted the Famagusta hospital (Reference Hospital).”
“They sent an ambulance here (to my house) and examined me. They said that I had to be taken immediately to the Famagusta hospital. I was transferred the same day and I stayed there for 17 days,” he added.
In addition, he spoke in detail about the treatment he received at the reference hospital, stating that it was excellent since the treatment of both the doctors and the nursing staff was perfect.
Moreover, Archimandrite Ieronymos sent his own message, since he had firsthand experience, to those who deny the existence and seriousness of Covid-19: “I say to those who do not believe that coronavirus exists, that they are making a big mistake. I call on them to come down to earth, to face the reality and to stop saying that the coronavirus is not a pandemic. I call them to stop urging people not to follow the measures and to see what has been happening every day; the increase of cases, the patients who are intubated, and deaths that have been increasing.”
Finally, he hopes that everyone and especially the “deniers” will “not be infected with the disease because if one of the deniers is infected, then they will all see the truth.”
