On the 1st of July 2023, the School of Byzantine Music welcomed within the grounds of the Greek Orthodox Church of St Barnabas in Wood Green, a most honored guest.
Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain graced the event with his presence, taking part in the school’s graduation ceremony for the academic year 2022-2023.
Radiating with paternal warmth, Archbishop Nikitas proudly presented each graduating student with their end-of-the-year certificates. In addition, he extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. Joseph Paliouras, who leads the school with unmatched dedication, as well as the devoted associate teachers, recognizing their tireless commitment to imparting the intricate knowledge of Byzantine ecclesiastical music.
Joining the festivities was Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis, alongside the revered Clergy of the Holy Archdiocese, students, and their proud parents. After the formal proceedings, the gathering blossomed into a cheerful reception, filled with jubilant energy.
