The Archbishop of Cyprus paid a visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
Today, Friday, at 11:00, the Archbishop of Cyprus will preside over the Doxology at the Patriarchal Church, and then he will be officially received in the Throne Room by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Hierarchy.
On Saturday, March 4, at 4 p.m., on the great feast of the Sunday of Orthodoxy, Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus will preside over the Great Vespers of Saturday at the Patriarchal Church.
The following Sunday, March 5, the Ecumenical Patriarch will preside over the Patriarchal and Synodal Divine Liturgy along with Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus.
After the dismissal, there will be an exchange of official addresses between the two Primates, and then the usual Trisagion will take place for the repose of the souls of those who fought for our Orthodox faith and were perfected in it, followed by the procession of the holy icons by the Ecumenical Patriarch, the Archbishop of Cyprus and the co-celebrating Hierarchs.
