Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus expressed in his statements his opposition to the comments of Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou on homosexuals.
The Primate of Cyprus said speaking to politis.com.cy that “The Metropolitan of Morphou’s statements do not express me. They are clearly personal.”
Metropolitan’s speech videos have attracted a variety of comments on social media and have caught the attention of many foreign news media.
Among other things, the Metropolitan also referred to “what” causes homosexuality, as he reckons that homosexuality is caused by the sexual preferences of the couple.
