Archbishop Makarios of Australia visited the Representation Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens during his brief visit to the Greek capital on the occasion of his participation in a round table on the Ukrainian issue.
Archbishop Makarios was warmly welcomed by Metropolitan Theodoretos of Laodicea, Director of the Office and representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, with whom he had a meeting and discussion on issues of common interest and especially on the course of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia and the testimony of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, through it, on the fifth continent.
The two men spoke with infinite admiration and great gratitude for the person of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and wished God to strengthen him in his difficult task.
