Archbishop Elpidophoros of America sent a strong message against gun ownership in the United States on social media.
In the first 24 days of the new year, there were 39 mass shootings that killed more than 1,200 people.
We hear so much about the right to life, yet we deny life itself by allowing essentially free and abundant weapons of mass destruction to circulate.”
“It is imperative,” the Archbishop concluded, “to find a more effective and better way of managing this tragic situation because every human life is valuable.”
2023 has barely begun and we have already had 39 mass shootings in our country, with over 1200 gun deaths in the first 24 days of the New Year. We hear so much about the “right to life,” yet we deny life by allowing WMDs to abound. We must find a better way. All life is precious. pic.twitter.com/KEGGgRBaK6
