Archbishop Anastasios of Albania expressed his grief for the railway fatality in Tempi that resulted in many deaths, wounded, and missing people.
In his statement, the Archbishop stressed that he prays for the peaceful repose of the victims’ souls and the consolation of their relatives.
In his communication with Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa, he also expressed his grief for the tragedy as well as his worry about the “fatal oversights of many people in charge”.

We were informed with great sorrow of the unbelievable railway fatality in Tempi, with multiple dead passengers, wounded and missing people.
As we heartily pray for the peace of the lost victims’ souls, for the quick recovery of the wounded people, and for the consolation of their devastated relatives, and in our communication with Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and the Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa, we expressed our deep grief for the shocking tragedy, as well as our worry about the fatal oversights of many people in charge.
