It is recalled that in his videotaped message to the more than 1,200 representatives of the 45th Clergy Laity Congress of the Archdiocese of America, which was held via teleconference last Wednesday and Thursday 9 and 10 September, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew spoke about the love that has actively shown and continues to show to America expressing its unwavering support for the sufferers and their families.
The Ecumenical Patriarch had underlined that the spirit of Christian solidarity is also expressed by the compliance to the measures imposed to deal with the spread of the disease, knowing that these do not offend our faith, piety and traditions that we preserve like the apples of our eyes, but they contribute to the protection of the health and life of all of us.
