On September 17, 2024, Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro met with Dr. Jelena Borovinić Bojović, President of the Municipal Council of Podgorica, at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the Metropolis and the Municipal Administration, with a particular emphasis on improving the area surrounding the Cathedral.
The Metropolitan expressed his gratitude to the President for her dedication and support in matters of religious importance. Dr. Borovinić Bojović also shared her experiences from her recent visit to significant religious monuments and monasteries in Kosovo and Metohija.
