On July 28, 2021, an event was held at the Holy Temple of All Saints in Munich to celebrate a double anniversary. The Parish of All Saints Munich of the Μetropolis of Germany in collaboration with the Greek Academy of Munich invited to a celebration on the occasion of the completion of years since the inauguration of the Holy Temple and the Cultural Center “Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew” and 200-years of Greek Bavarian friendship.
The Ηellenism of Munich, which since 1828 owes to King Louis I the concession of the historic Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior (Salvatorkirche) has for the last 25 years found shelter for their religious needs and various events at the Church of All Saints.
The anniversary event began with a doxology to the Triune God and was followed by the greetings of the German Metropolitan Augustine, who referred to God’s blessing for the German Diocese to have achieved not only mutual recognition but also an excellent pastoral work that is now performed in numerous parishes throughout Germany, of the hierarchical archimandrite Georgios Siomos, of the representative of the Prime Minister of Bavaria, of the Minister of Science and Art Bernd Sibler, of the President of the Hanns-Seidel Foundation in Munich Vasiliki Barlas and the President of the Hellenic Academy, Stavros Kostantinidis.
The event was honored by the presence of the Evangelical Bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strohm of Bavaria, representative of the Roman Catholic Cardinal, Assistant Bishop Bernhard Haßlberger, the Vice-Presidents of the Bavarian Parliament, Federal Members of Parliament, the Prince of Bavaria Wolfgang von Bayern, representatives of the municipality, the business community, the arts, and other prominent personalities, Greeks and Germans, friends of Greece and Orthodoxy.
The event was accompanied by music with unpublished songs by composers from Greece and Munich, soprano Maria Kostraki and musicians Antonios Sousamoglou, Katerina Giannitsioti, Costas Makrigiannakis, and Dimitrios Vittis.
In the end, the Parish received the guests in the suitably designed courtyard of the Temple.
