An All-night Vigil was held in the Holy Cathedral of St. Sophia in London on the feast of our Holy Father Maximos the Confessor.
Bishop Maximos of Melitene, who bears the name of the great Saint of our Church, presided over the service.
Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis, and clergy of the Holy Archdiocese attended the service.
The service was co-officiated by the hierarchical Head of the Cathedral, Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne Theonas Bakalis, Archim. Nifon Tsimalis, Archdeacon George Tsouros, and Deacon Konstantinos Mamouris.
In his address, Archbishop Nikitas wished Bishop Maximos on the occasion of his name day celebration.
The clergy and the congregation also wished the celebrating Bishop of Melitini and a treat followed in the Cathedral hall.
